After months in the new space, I'm slowly but surely getting around into larger studio projects that I've been wanting to tackle since we proceeded in. Finally, Ideal?! My strategy from the get-go was supposed to keep everything light and white, for shooting. However, after being here for some time, I have realized that there are a couple of important areas that are calling out to get pops of color. So, I've partnered with 3M and their line of ScotchBlue™Pre-Taped Painter's Plastic to share some of the color pop projects within the coming months and now is the first installment of the three.
I have been really into the routine trend these last couple of months and also with murals popping up in my feed more and more too, I believed a colorfully painted mural in a geometric(ish) pattern would be excellent for the upstairs half wall. But it would also be a trendy DIY idea for an entryway, hallway, or even landing. No half wall demanded! The painting process and overall design was partially intended out and partially on-the-fly, AND (more importantly) 100% doable for anyone wielding a paintbrush with a little bit of time on their hands. Here is what you will need to generate a mural like mine...
